The scholarship shall be awarded to a student enrolled for a Master of Engineering (ME) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury.
Value/Benefits:
a. Financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, to a value of NZ $5,000; and
b. May also cover tuition fees at the New Zealand domestic rate, provided those fees are not being paid by another scholarship or award; and
c. During, or following the successful completion of the ME or PhD degree, an H J Hopkins Scholar may apply to the Selection Committee for funds to contribute towards the cost of travel, for the purpose of study or work in the field of civil engineering. The travel grant may be for an amount up to NZ $5,000
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Must be enrolled full-time for a Master of Engineering (ME) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury
Tenure: Up to 18 months for ME. Up to 3 years for PhD
Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 15 October (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date)
