The New Zealand Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers established the Scholarship in 2007. The purpose is to support a student enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering programme at the University of Canterbury, to undertake fundamental research into fire safety and fire science.
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Applicable to a full-time student enrolled in a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering.
Tenure: One year
Applications for the awards are to be made online at the Scholarships website by 30 November in the year preceding the year in which the research shall be done.
