Bachelor of Radiation Therapy (BRT)

Summary

The Bachelor of Radiation Therapy is a three-year degree taught from our Wellington campus. On completion you are able to register with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and start your career as a radiation therapist.

Radiation therapy is a highly skilled health profession and, because cancer affects so many people, qualified radiation therapists are in demand.

You can apply to study Radiation Therapy straight out of secondary school, after one year or more of university study, or as a graduate.

Applications to study in 2027 will open on 1 July 2026.
