Get ahead and gain the work-ready skills to excel in a building and construction apprenticeship.
This one-year course will help you develop your technical knowledge and practical skills in many aspects of building and the construction industry. Become knowledgeable about the basic principles and practices for general construction, including calculations, communications, health and safety, site-safe passports, first aid, and hand power tools. You will also learn about tools, machines, timber, and construction support structures.
Enjoy hands-on training in our workshops and building projects in a supportive environment with our industry-expert tutors. Our graduates go on to become carpenters, builders, project managers, and much more.
Entry criteria
There is open entry to this programme although you must demonstrate a reasonable likelihood of success.
Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 5, with no individual band score lower than 5; or equivalent.
