Summary

The Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Information Technology has been developed in close consultation with industry to enable students to build on their technical skillset. It allows students to undertake a short programme of study to upgrade their qualifications as well as amplify and update their information technology knowledge and skills.

Entry criteria

  • A bachelor's degree in Computing or Information Technology or a related subject area, with a grade average at level 7 of B or better in the final year of full-time study, or equivalent part-time study; or
  • An equivalent qualification as considered by the Centre's Postgraduate Programme Committee.

Selection Candidates will be required to attend a selection interview/hui and may attend with whānau support.

Special admission Domestic candidates aged 20 years or above who do not meet these entry requirements may be considered for special admission. In such cases entry will be dependent on whether candidates can demonstrate a reasonable likelihood of success in the programme.

English language requirements Candidates who have English as a second language are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.5 in the academic band, with no individual band score lower than 6.0; or equivalent.
