Summary

In your first year you’ll develop a depth of business knowledge and skills required for any commercial context. This includes skills in management, leadership, accounting, marketing, HR, law, economics and sustainability, as well as knowledge of Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Then across your second and third years you’ll dive into operations and production management, where you’ll explore a range of methods for managing operations and supply chain aspects, focusing on the logistics of production from both quantitative and qualitative perspectives. Core competencies in project management, operations management, product development and resource integration management are combined to identify, address and resolve present-day operations and production issues. Elective courses covering finance, leadership, health, safety and wellbeing will expand your capabilities in leading and supporting production and operations functions for a variety of organisations and sectors. Additionally, you’ll channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you’ll address business issues or advance business opportunities. In the process, you’ll strengthen your understanding of operations and production management. Part-time up to 10 years.
