Summary

This programme is designed for those who wish to extend their undergraduate degree with highly specialised knowledge in sport and exercise science, rehabilitation, and movement-related professions. It is most suited to those who are wanting to continue onto a Doctoral programme or into higher-level positions in the workforce.

Our postgraduate sports programmes focus on applied learning, are strongly industry-focused, and are supported by a team of highly-skilled academic staff. Students will get to apply their learning in our purpose-built facilities.

Students will study at the Wintec Centre for Sport Science and Human Performance. The laboratories are fully equipped and accredited with Sport Science New Zealand and are amongst New Zealand's best sport science facilities. Students will have access to 'state of the art' sport testing and consulting, as used by national and international athletes.

There are two pathways available:

  • Thesis pathway
  • Dissertation pathway
