Summary

Civil Engineers are responsible for the design and construction of infrastructure like buildings, transportation systems, water and wastewater facilities, ports, bridges and urban environments. This programme will teach you discipline-specific knowledge that will enable you to solve problems and improve people’s standard of living.

The PGCertCivilEng upskills students for employment as civil engineers and serves as a flexible qualification for students who do not wish to commit to a full masters or diploma. Graduates meeting the appropriate entry standards may proceed to masters study.

Entry criteria

You must have completed either a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with a GPA of at least 2.5 in 60 points above Stage III. Bachelor's degrees in relevant fields such as applied science and technology may be considered with a GPA of 3.0 in at least 60 points above Stage II. IELTS Academic score required: 6.5 with no bands below 6.0.
