Introduction

The Postgraduate Certificate in Geospatial Data Science (PGCertGDS) programme equips students with a foundational knowledge of geospatial science and technology at postgraduate level. It can be a stepping-stone to a professional master’s degree or a one year professional qualification.

The programme intersects relevant disciplines such as Data Science, Computer Science, Geography, and Environmental Science with spatial analysis. Students will gain skills in programming, research analysis, database management, geospatial technology, and communication.

Entry requirements

The PGCertGDS requires a bachelor’s degree with at least a B Grade Point Average in your 300-level courses in an area relevant to geospatial analysis, or equivalent, or three years of professional experience in a related industry.

If English is not your first language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements. If you need help meeting these requirements, or would like to practise your English skills before studying, UC offers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) language programmes.
