Summary

Sow the seeds of a career in one of the world’s largest and most important industries as it undergoes an exciting rebuild.

Tourism is one of the largest contributors to the growing global economy, and a vital component in Aotearoa New Zealand’s success as a nation. However, along with most of the wider travel and hospitality sectors, tourism has been hit hard by the global COVID-19 crisis.

As the industry reforms and develops innovative strategies, products and approaches that will lead a recovery over the next three to five years, there’ll be increasing need for skilled people to lead the rebuild.

The Graduate Certificate in Tourism Management is an internationally admired programme that combines academic learning with practical experience. It will prepare you to work in planning, business leadership and management, research and advisory roles in New Zealand’s recovering tourism sector.
