New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment (Level 4) Engineering Pathway

Summary

This programme is a pathway for the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering. It covers skills for academic study, engineering maths and engineering physics. Available part-time up to 2 years. Please note: The majority of courses within this programme are only available in Christchurch. Please check with the Department of Engineering and Architectural Studies for more information. Successful completion of this qualification does not guarantee entry to the pathway’s destination programme of study. Entry requirements still apply and selection for some destination programmes is highly competitive. In order to ensure you have the best chance of success in our maths courses, we require that you demonstrate a minimum level of maths knowledge before enrolling. This can be done using previous academic records (e.g. NCEA results) or through our entry testing process. The following Achievement Standards will not count towards Mathematics credits in this pathway: 91035, 91036, 91037, and 91038. For this Engineering pathway the 91027 Achievement Standard in Algebra should be achieved.
