Summary
Extend your existing treatment capabilities and knowledge from beginner level to advanced. You’ll use state-of-the-art facilities, the latest technology (including radio frequency, Mesowave, LED, hydro dermabrasion and many more) and focus on results-driven treatments, learning the science behind beauty treatments. Courses include Advanced Beauty Therapy Science, Electrical Facial Therapy, Spa and Massage Therapy, Advance Skin, Advanced Hair, Electrical Body, and Applied Practice.

Graduates of this Diploma could find employment as a Beauty Therapist, Spa Therapist, Skin Therapist, Electrologist, Resort Therapist working on a cruise liner, or could work within beauty retail. Alternatively, you could establish and run your own beauty therapy business.
During this programme, you will learn how to apply advanced skincare techniques, advanced hair removal techniques and be introduced to spa body treatments.
Practical, hands-on learning in our purpose-built, clinic setting will enable you to gain experience and confidence.
This programme has been approved by ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council).
Entry criteria
Entry Entry requirements- New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4) or equivalent skills and knowledge, experience, or qualification.
- A First Aid Certificate (US 6400, 6401, and 6402, or equivalent).
- International students will be individually assessed to ensure they are ready for this study.
- If English is not your first language, you must provide:
- New Zealand University Entrance OR
- Overall Academic IELTS 5.5 (academic, no band score lower than 5.0) achieved in one test completed in the last two years, OR
- Acceptable alternative evidence of the required IELTS (see here for internationally recognised proficiency tests and proficiency outcomes for international students).
If you need to improve your English Language skills, we offer a wide range of English programmes.
Please note: This programme contains an additional International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) component. You must be 18 years or older to complete this part of the programme. For applicants under 18, you can complete the programme without this component.
Selection processApplicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis until the programme has reached full capacity.
