If gardening is your passion, you want to grow food for your family or are already working in the horticulture industry and need to understand the science that underpins the growing of crops - this zero fees, fully supported online programme is perfect for you!
It provides a clear pathway into further study and careers in the horticulture industry, in areas such as orchards, vineyards, plant nurseries and garden centres.
Graduates of this programme will receive the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (General) (Level 3).

Please note: This programme is not available to international students.
English Language requirementsIf English is not your first language, you must provide:
- New Zealand University Entrance OR
- Overall Academic IELTS score of 5.0 with no individual band score lower than 5.0 (achieved in one test completed in the last two years), OR
- Acceptable alternative evidence of the required IELTS (see here for internationally recognised proficiency tests and proficiency outcomes for international students).
