Summary

Get your building career off to a great start with a qualification that prepares you for the workforce.

Want to be part of the building and construction industry? This programme is the perfect way to get started with an apprenticeship or an entry-level job.

Construction is for you if you enjoy working outdoors on large-scale projects. At our Richmond Campus, you'll train in a real-life, all-weather construction environment, getting hands-on experience that's highly valued by employers.

Our programme not only prepares you for jobs but also makes it easier to land an apprenticeship. Many students secure apprenticeships even before finishing the programme, thanks to our strong industry connections.

Our tutors are qualified building practitioners with extensive industry experience. Our facilities include a carpentry barn and an enclosed construction yard, which provide practical, hands-on experience.

NMIT students often excel in regional and national competitions like the Apprentice of the Year, showcasing the high-quality education and real-world skills you’ll gain here.

Our programme is backed by the Industry Training Association Building (ITaB) scheme and the BCITO, ensuring you get the best possible start in your construction career.
