The Master of Laws (International Law and Politics) is a specialist degree that brings together international law and international politics, giving you a multidisciplinary perspective on the issues shaping our world.
Designed for students with a foundation in law, the programme will deepen your existing knowledge while examining modern international issues from both legal and political perspectives. You will explore the theoretical foundations of international law and politics alongside the practical challenges of decision-making and action in the international arena.
The Master of Laws (International Law and Politics) prepares you for careers in the diplomatic service, specialised legal practice, government, international organisations, non-governmental organisations, and the military.
For admission to the degree, you must have qualified for a Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) or a Postgraduate Certificate in International Law and Politics with a minimum B Grade Point Average.
Graduates with an undergraduate degree with a significant legal component (eg, Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies) or a non-law degree with relevant international law work experience are also encouraged to apply.
If English is not your first language, you are also required to meet UC's Postgraduate language requirements. See how to provide your English language evidence to UC. If you need help meeting these requirements, or would like to practise your English skills before studying, UC offers English for Academic Purposes (EAP) language programmes.
For the full entry requirements, see the Regulations for the Master of Laws (International Law and Politics) or use the admission requirements checker.
