Gain professional illustration skills with our Postgraduate Diploma in Illustration (PGDipIllust) and develop your creative portfolio and artistic style.

This Diploma is ideal for new or professional artists to refine your skills and gain insight into the business of freelance studio practice or advanced creative roles in industry.

What will my study involve?
  • Build your expertise in traditional and/or digital illustration techniques, tools, and create your distinctive style.
  • Focus your art with courses on narrative literacy, sequential storytelling, and other visual vocabulary to give your story depth and impact.
  • Develop a professional portfolio with a course on business skills to advance your career in the creative industry.

Entry criteria

To apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Illustration, you will need to have one of the following from your previous studies:

  • a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, with at least a B grade average in your 300-level courses
  • any bachelor's degree and relevant professional or other work experience
  • a Postgraduate Certificate in Illustration with at least a B grade average
  • other qualifications of an equivalent standard.

All applicants need to submit a portfolio of relevant work.
