Summary
This programme is for those wanting to gain the skills needed for tertiary study, training, and/or working in New Zealand. At this level, students will develop their oral and written English language skills, using more complex language in situations and environments such as an academic or workplace context.
This programme is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) high B1.
Entry criteria
General admission
- Candidates must be 16 years or older.
- Candidates must have achieved NZCEL (Level 2); or
- Have achieved an overall IELTS score of 4.5 with no individual band score lower than 4.0, or equivalent; or
- Candidates must take part in a selection interview and will be required to take a placement test to determine their current English Language level and learning goals.
Selection criteria
Candidates must demonstrate a reasonable chance of success in the programme.
