Experience first-hand the power and influence of food with AUT’s Master of Gastronomy, an exciting 1½-year programme offered at the AUT City Campus.

Food is more than nutrition. Food tells a story of time, place, culture, identity, and geo-politics. Food, its rituals and meanings help us to make sense of the world around us. Join us in the Master of Gastronomy as we discuss, debate and examine some of the most critical issues facing the future of our world.

Minimum entry requirements
  • Must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a B grade average or higher in courses at level 7 or equivalent

International student entry requirements

English language requirements
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with all bands 6.0 or higher; or equivalent
